What is Classic Reformer Pilates?

Classic Reformer Pilates is Energii’s technical Reformer format. The pace is slower. The music is subdued. The focus is on performing each movement correctly—not quickly.

It's not an easy class. It's a rigorous class.

You’ll be working on the reformer, focusing entirely on body control, stability, and proper form. The instructor will guide, monitor, and adjust your form throughout the session. You’ll work at your own pace—but always with a focus on quality.

What happens during the class?

A Classic Reformer class systematically focuses on:

  • Body control and stability — the foundation of all reformer training
  • Precise movements — the focus is on technique from the very first exercise
  • Personalized feedback — the instructor continuously adjusts your posture and movement
  • Deep muscle activation — a slow pace gives the body time to work deeply
  • Progressive structure — the exercises build on one another throughout the class

No. The Classic Reformer is the ideal starting point for anyone new to the Reformer. The instructor will introduce the machine (if desired) and the exercises from the very beginning.
No. A slower pace means a deeper workout for the muscles. The Classic Reformer challenges even experienced users—just in a different way than the Signature.
The Reformer is ideal for gentle rehabilitation. Please email us before booking so the instructor can tailor the session to your needs.

The Reformer provides resistance and support that aren't possible on a mat. This allows you to work with greater precision and intensity—and tailor the intensity to your individual needs.
Most people notice a difference in body awareness and control after 3–4 weeks. Strength gains and improvements in posture typically occur after 6–8 weeks of regular training.
Yes, you’re required to wear non-slip socks and gloves for all our classes—they ensure a secure grip on the Reformer and are required for hygiene reasons. If you don’t have a set, you can purchase them at the center so you can always get started, no matter what.
Comfortable, form-fitting workout clothes are ideal—loose clothing can get caught in the Reformer’s moving parts. Remember to bring grip socks and gloves (available for purchase at the center). No special shoes are required—Reformer Pilates is done in socks.
